The second wave of WannaCry attacks appears to have just started within the past few hours.

It is expected that we will see a lot of NEW virus variants.

How to protect yourself

1. If you use Windows, install the Microsoft patch. You can find instructions on Microsoft Knowledge Base. You can also directly download the patches for your OS from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
2. If you are using an unsupported version of Windows like Windows XP, Windows 2008 or Server 2003, get the patches for your unsupported OS from the Update Catalog.
3. Update your Antivirus software IMMEDIATELY.
4. If you don’t have anti-virus, at least install Windows Defender.
5. Backup NOW! After the backup make sure you remove you backup HDD. If you get infected, you will have a safe backup OFFLINE!
